The wait is over! Finally, we are confirming that the star of a popular Turkish TV series is set to meet his faithful fans in Pakistan this October.

“Engin Altan Duzyatan has finally confirmed his much-awaited visit to Pakistan,” said the event organizers on Saturday, referring to the star of the historical Turkish series Dirilis Ertugrul.

According to the press release of Frontiers World, the outfit organizing the trip off in collaboration with official Turkish broadcaster TRT, a three-day star-studded tour ‘Jashn-e-Ertuğrul’ from 9-11 October will bring Altan face-to-face with his fans across Pakistan.

Engin Altan Duzyatan Activities:

During his visit, Duzyatan will meet his fans in the capital Islamabad He will also visit the financial capital Karachi, and cultural hub Lahore, according to Anadolu Agency. The Turkish star Engin Altan Duzyatan will hold question-and-answer sessions on stage, the organizers’ statement said.

The historic Turkish blockbuster is very popular in Pakistan. It has earned heroic status in Pakistan after Pakistan Television (PTV) telecast a version dubbed in Urdu. Within days of the first telecast, the fan following for the series and its actors surged, especially the Turkish actor Duzyatan.

The drama is often describ as a Turkish Game of Thrones. The series tells the story before the establishment of the Ottoman Empire in 13th century Anatolia. It illustrates the struggle of Ertugrul Gazi, the father of the empire’s first leader.

Frontiers World, a London-based events management outfit, is organizing the trip in collaboration with TRT, the official Turkish broadcaster.

“The tour will strengthen bonds between Turkey and Pakistan and usher in new partnerships between the content creators of the two countries,” said Ayesha Syed, an organizer.

The Ertugrul star also recently met terminally ill Pakistani children and celebrities on a Facebook live session.
